OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment in a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: (a) On or about June 26,2014, employees were potentially exposed to crushing and struck-by hazards while operating automotive lifts under the following conditions: 1) The Gemini (GR-60) auto lift and Gray wheel lifts (WL-20) were not inspected by a qualified inspector at least annually to ensure that they were properly maintained and functioning. 2) The Gray wheel lifts (WL-20) were not inspected daily to ensure that they were properly maintained and functioning. Abatement Note: Abatement certification is required for this item (see enclosed "Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet"). |
