Complaint What Happened	I am a former customer of XXXX XXXX, subsidy of XXXX XXXX. I purchased internet service from XXXX and leased a modem from the company. I disconnected the service XX/XX/XXXX ; paid the final bill ; and returned the company modem to XXXX 's XXXX, Texas location as directed by the company. XX/XX/XXXX I received a bill from XXXX regarding a balance due of {$82.00} for the 'unreturned ' modem equipment. I responded by advising my account is paid in full and the equipment was returned to the company as directed by the company and provided proof of delivery to and receipt by the company in the XXXX, Texas location. Later in XX/XX/XXXX, I received a collection letter for the account balance from XXXX XXXX XXXX. I responded to the collection agency with the same information I provided to XXXX including copies of the proof of equipment return. Although I requested written confirmation of my statement and more importantly, removal of the negative information falsely reported to the credit reporting agencies and codified on my report ; I did not receive any confirmation from XXXX nor their collection agency and presumed the matter closed. XX/XX/XXXX I received a new collection letter from a different collection agency demanding the same amount for the same reason. I have responded to the collection agency with the same information and proof false claims made by XXXX. XXXX XXXX dba XXXX XXXX has filed two false and fraudulent claims against me. Research has concluded that this fraudulent practice is very commonplace by the company and my complaint is far from being a lone complaint.
